Not for the audio: it travels over your local network. On a paid plan, the server checks the licence at start-up and keeps it for up to 30 days offline; after that it falls back to the free plan until it can check again. You also need a connection to download and update the server.

Total latency is four stretches added up: capture on the phone, the WiFi hop, the server buffer and the output of your sound card. Only the buffer is set by hand —256 samples at 48 kHz are 5.3 ms—; the rest depends on your network and your gear. A 5 GHz network with little traffic holds up; a congested 2.4 GHz one shows immediately in live monitoring. We do not publish an end-to-end figure because we have not measured one yet with a method we could show.

Today the app is Android 9 or later only. The iOS version is in development; subscribe to update notices on the downloads page to know when it ships.

Yes. The app lists the phone available inputs, including USB-C microphones and compatible jack adapters.

Per machine: each key can be active on two machines at once, and you release it from Settings to move it to another. The phones that connect do not use up a licence, however many they are.

The channel is marked as disconnected but keeps its settings. When the same device reconnects, it gets its strip back with faders, pan and inserts intact.

You choose. By default the individual tracks are saved clean, before the insert chain, and the stereo mix is saved processed.
