Features

Everything the server does, channel by channel

Akemix is not a player: it is a full mixing desk that treats every phone as a real audio input, with its own processing chain.

Input

Capture from the phone

The app sends the microphone audio over the local network without going through the internet.

UDP transport

Packets straight to the server, with no session negotiation or relay servers.

Port 8000

Raw PCM or Opus

Raw when the network allows it, Opus when bandwidth has to be saved.

48 kHz · 24 bit

QR pairing

The server shows a code; the app scans it and the channel is created with the device name.

Device status

Model, battery, link strength and jitter of every phone, inside its own channel strip.

Processing

Insert chain

Gate, compressor and equaliser in that order, with a visible curve and numeric values.

Gate

Threshold, range, attack and release.

Compressor

Ratio up to 20:1, knee and makeup.

Equaliser

Five bands from 100 Hz to 8 kHz.

Output

To your gear and your disk

The mix goes out through the card you choose while it is recorded in parallel.

Native drivers

ASIO for the lowest latency, WASAPI for general use and DirectSound as a fallback.

Buffer 64 – 1024

Multitrack recording

One track per channel plus the stereo mix, timestamped by the server clock.

WAV · FLAC

Master with DIM and MONO

Quick −20 dB attenuation, mono sum to check phase, and a global mute.

Scenes

Save faders, pans, inserts and groups with a name and a date, and recall them in one click.
